Final Project

Through this long project I learned a lot about our family history, like where the orginated, how they lived, and how it shaped my parents. With this information I learned I made a PREZI about 15 people in my family. I also made and infographic displaying different information. I got all this information from my interview. I tracked my family history on my family echo.

Reflection on video

I thought that this video was really cool. I completely agree with what the guy was talking about. You should interact with people, not just text them. That one moment that you are not on your phone and you are talking, and interacting could change your life like it did in the video.

Wednesday April 23rd

This generation of kids is different than any others. The teacher is upset of who the kids are. If the kids dont want to dedicate themselves, then don't make them. Its not right that the kids are doing this but its their decision. The teacher is trying to say that kids need to change in order to be succesful

Monday April 21st

Reflect on your stop-motion animation project. How did it go? What worked? What didn't work? If you're not finished - why? If you are finished go in to detail about the project and what you learned. Give as much detail and information as possible.

I finished and only had one problem along the way. I didnt have enough pictures which made it shortened. But it was still close to the required length so it worked out fine. This project wasn't that bad and actually was fun at times.

5 picture story

 Pups woke up feeling very sick, he could barely move and could not see well. He asked his owner to put him up on the couch so he could relax and hopefully feel better.

After about an hour of sitting on the couch pups was not feeling any better. He had no idea why he was feeling down, so he decided to ask his owner if he had any idea.

 Pups jumped up on his owners leg and asked what he should do to feel better. His owner told him to stretch and go outside and get some fresh air. Pups agreed that this was a good idea and decided to try it.

 Pups started to stretch and it made him feel a little better because it abled him to move better. Now that he could walk he headed outside to get some fresh air













Pups went outside and layed in the grass. After about 10 minutes he felt better. Pups had not been outside in weeks and it was causing him to feel very sick. Pups got up and waited at the door for his owner. When he let him in he thanked him for the good advice and went back to sleep.

What is a storyboard? If you don't know, what do you think it is? How are storyboards used? What are some different ways that storyboards can be made?

I have no idea what a storyboard is. My guess is that it is a particular way of showing pictures in a story form. It could probably be made in a visually attractive form so the reader enjoys it more, or could be more direct and serious.

We did get our pictures taken and thought that it was pretty fun. I think you had us take the pictures so we could give them effects.

What do you know about photography? When you take pictures what kind of camera do you use? Do you use your cell phone? Do you own a digital camera that is not your cell phone? Explain.

I do not take pictures very often, and don't know much about photography. When I take pictures
I use my phone 5s which works well for me. I have never owned a camera because I rarely take pictures.

Prepare yourself... I want you to really THINK about this blog post. I mean really use your brain. What is the significance of an infographic? What is the point of pairing graphics and information together? What impact can this have on a reader or viewer. EXPLAIN.

The point of an infographic is to make the reader engaged. With all the charts and pictures the reader will be more interested. If we just typed a 3 page paper the reader would not be interested because it would not be appealing like and infographic. The significance of an infographic is how it presents it self. It is usually bright and appealing making it easier for the reader to understand and become more interested.

If you had the option of writing a 3 page paper or creating an infographic - which one would you choose? Explain yourself.

I would for sure do an infographic. I found doing this project somewhat enjoyable and never really dreaded doing it. Writing a 3 page paper would not be fun at all and  making an infographic would be easier.

I will not be finished by the end of the hour. I think I have  used my time wisely but am finding it hard to complete because this project is new to me.

Why do I have you brainstorm and collect your information in a Google Doc before putting in to final draft? Explain.

So your final project is neat and you know what your doing. Without using the google doc you would be unorganized. When I did my world problem my outline helped alot.

Yesterday I introduced you to infographics... tell me again what they are and how they are used? What is the benefit of an infographic? What goes into an infogrpahic?

An infographic is a visual way to display data or information. On infographics you will see lots of graphs, pictures, and colorful things. A benefit would be that it is more appealing to the reader.

       Terrorism is a worldwide problem and takes the lives of many innocent people. There is no way to stop terrorism because of its variety and unknown times to happen. People that cause terrorism have beliefs or problems.

I am currently in my 3rd paragraph, I am finding it very easy to get this done mostly because of my outline. I have all my information right in front of me and I know about it well.

Tell me about your Sweetheart weekend. If you didn't go to Sweetheart, what did you do? I want details!

I did not go to sweetheart. My weekend was pretty fun because I went skiing at snow creek. I went with my brothers and dad. We were there for about 6 hours and had a lot of fun. I also watched the Superbowl. I was dissapointed with the commercials and how the game turned out. It was overall a pretty good weekend though

I look up to my grandma, because she is always in a good mood. Even if something is bothering her she doesn't show it. She is always happy to see you and is always in a good mood. She is always calling me to see how I am doing and make sure everything is going well. If something is bothering me she will talk me through it and tell me best.  That is why I look up to my grandma

I selected terrorism as my global issue. I wanted to do this because of how strongly I am against it. I want to know why it is happening and what can be done to stop it.

If you could pick one issue in the world to fix or change what would it be and why?

If I could fix something in the world it would be terrorism. This is a serious problem that I hate. Just in the past couple years we have had multiple mass killings and terrorism attacks such as, Sandy Hook Elementary, The Dark Night Movie killing, and the Boston Bombing. Hundreds of innocent people were killed for no reason at all. This is for sure something that I would fix.

What is a Public Service Announcement? If you don't know what it is, Google it. In your own words, now tell me what it is? What are they used for? Can you recall an example of a PSA you've seen before?

A PSA is a presentation made to educate people on a something that is a problem for humans. An example would be logging and how some people feel that there are too many trees being taken down and it needs to be stopped. I have seen many of these, in 7th grade we had to make a PSA as a project. Many people chose bullying, animal abuse, and other serious problems. Everybody had there own visual way to educate the audience.

Tell me about your three day weekend. How was it? What did you do? Elaborate!

My weekend was very boring. Sadly I had drivers ed all weekend from 8-4. I did have Sunday off and I had a friend over. We didn't do much but just hang out and watch TV. Drivers ed was terrible, all we did was sit in a classroom and listen to boring stuff. Im glad its over now though

What have you learned about Google Drive and Google Presentation so far? What do you like about it? What problems have you run in to? Is it better than PowerPoint? Explain I have learned lots about all this. I have never had gmail and used all these features before. I really enjoy Google presentation because of how easy it is to use. I was able to finish my presentation for class in a very short time. For this reason I like it better than Powerpoint. I have not had any problems with anything and have found it very user friendly.

I think that you should be able to use it because they are putting it on the internet. If they are letting everyone see it then it should be able to be used by everyone. It should not need to be cited because they are sharing it with everyone and the people should be able to do whatever they want with it

Friday January 10th

What do you want to learn in the class the semester? What information do you want to walk away with that you didn't know before? Elaborate!

I want to be able to use the Internet to my advantage, I feel like I have never done well with computers and have always struggled using them. Today many jobs use computers and I want to know about them so I can prepare myself for the future if I want that type of career. Blogging is also getting to be popular and I would like to learn more on that as well and what it is all bout.
